Autumn in Enclave

Using the new recipes from City of Mist, wanted to try out some things.  Started with the fireplace and took it from there.  Very small home for my new fury, Elvinna.  When you use the fence sections as windows, be warned you can back up next to them and scroll way out to outside.  So if you don’t want that to happen, place some fog tiles with them. 🙂

Yay! Jazie got Residence of the Blades just in time

Legends of Norrath has been taken out of game.  No more can you claim decks and open in hopes of getting some good loot.  *sigh*.  But the RNG spirits were with me that last time and I got this home again.  Gave it to Jazie and made a manor, because we all need time to recline.  🙂  See more photos here on RotB page: Jazie’s Manor-ism
You can visit it from Valzen’s Island of Designs (massive homes) or from Portal House (small homes), both on leaderboards.

BYE, Trion

So I logged into Rift to just check things out, to see what I missed past few days, to empty minions, etc.  And to my surprise, Trion went through yet another round of changing patron benefits and F2P.

I am F2P.  Have been for quite sometime on Rift, because I’d rather spend money where I think I get more bang for my bucks, i.e. EQ2.

When I logged in Rift and went to send minions back out to gather supplies and stuff, much to my surprise, the previously PURCHASED with real money (credits) had all but disappeared.  Sure I could send them out on 8hr adventures, BUT I would have to PAY 150 credits to do so after ONE slot was filled.     See below

I’m sitting here, shaking my head thinking, “But I PAID for those slots!  Now they want me to PAY to send the minions out?!?!”

EDIT:  OK, so I was trying to send out an adventure that had a credit sign on it.  *hits head*.  Now you can shuffle through these without having to pay anything.  Good grief.

You know what?  I went to the forums to see if anyone else had concerns about patron benefits and F2P (aside from minions).

Sure enough they did.  Of course there are some debates in that thread as usual.  Some people will stick it out to the bitter end, no matter how bitter it gets.  Some will easily pack up bags and go.  Some are in the middle, hoping for change.
Well, I’m the one who can easily go.  I’ve had enough of Trion’s nickle-ing and dime-ing us to death.

So, even though I got it all figured out with the minion dilemma, I’ve STILL had enough.  Honestly, I’ve had enough for a very long time with Trion.  Want earring slots?  Insert coin.  Want great gear?  Insert coin.  Want this?  Want that?  No problem!  Just insert coin.
Sorry, but I work full time and I need money for other things.
I have to budget my money.  I have to know that I am going to spend $15.00 a month on a game and I can easily work with that.
My solution is simple:

Say good-bye to Valzen over there.  Wasn’t she cute?

Bye, Trion.  I have to honestly say that I won’t miss you this time.  And if other MMOs get this bad, I’ll be saying good-bye to them, too.
